An example of LED external lighting upgrade by Grange Elextrical at Kington Medical Centre, removing existing halogen fittings and replacing them with equivalent LED fittings. Thank goodness our apprentice isn’t afraid of heights!
Why update to LED?
LED bulbs are as bright as halogen. Not only that, but an LED bulb will produce the same amount of light as a halogen bulb while using 85% less power, so you can replace a 50 Watt halogen bulb with a 7.5 Watt LED
LED bulbs can use as much as 80% percent less energy than halogen bulbs. LED bulbs are more expensive, but make up their cost over time by saving energy and preventing frequent lamp replacements. LED bulbs are generally shatterproof.
LED stands for “light-emitting diode”. They feature a semiconductor compound, which converts electrical energy into light. … But it’s not just electricity that LEDs save when compared with other lighting technologies; they also drastically reduce waste because the bulbs rarely have to be replaced making them a more eco friendly option for consideration.

Team Grange are delighted to have undertaken an electrical EICR report at St Peter’s historical church in Bromyard, Herefordshire. It’s the largest building in Bromyard and the only one that is Grade 1 listed. The church is popular and is used by the wider community for many and varied purposes, both spiritual and secular.
Its vital that it is a safe place and that the material fabric of the church remains undamaged by updates of electrical wiring and cabling. Grange are specialists in this field and are passionate about upkeeping the aesthetics of our heritage buildings and churches.
An EICR is an Electrical Installation Condition Report. It is a formal document that is produced following an assessment of the electrical installation within a property. It must be carried out by an experienced qualified electrician or approved contractor. Grange Electrical will make recommendations and carry out any repairs sympathetically to the church building.
